Conditions of Hire

 In hiring Hilgay Village Hall, I/We (name of person or organisation)

  1. Hereby accept(s) full responsibility for the cost of any repair, replacement or reinstatement necessary as the result of damage to furniture, fittings, equipment or fabric of the Hall, caused by the Hirer, his/her guests or patrons during that period of hire.
  2. I/we understand that the Hall Committee does not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage to personal property brought into the Hall or on any part of the premises for any purpose.
  3. I/we shall be responsible for ensuring adequate supervision of the premises and activities during the period of hire and make sure that the NO SMOKING policy is carried out.
  4. I/we understand that NO PARKING is allowed outside the hall or in Waterman’s Lane at any time except for the purposes of unloading or loading.
  5. I/we understand that the Hall and the surrounding areas are to be cleared of all rubbish and taken away after the event.
  6. I/we understand that no items are to be pinned to the wall but blue tack may be used and carefully removed at the end of the event and that NOTHING is to be fixed to the white wall at the end of the hall.
  7. The key must be returned to the key holder after the event unless otherwise agreed in advance.
  8. The Hall Committee reserves the right to adjust hire charges as and when necessary without prior notice.
  9. NO Dogs except Guide Dogs are allowed in the hall at any time.
  10. All music played at an evening event MUST stop at 12:00 midnight.
  11. There is a minimum hire period of 4 hours.
  12. For All Day events a £50 refundable deposit is required.
